The Walton Academy for Growth and Change (WAGC) is a secure residential treatment program for males, ages 13 to 18, that provides residents with Substance Abuse Treatment Overlay Services (SAOS) and Mental Health Overlay Services (MHOS), which includes innovations in delinquency programming.

Treatment includes academic, vocational, clinical anger management, substance abuse, and mental health services.

The length of stay in the program depends on the youth's assessed risk to reoffend and the progress the youth has made in his individualized treatment plan.  The estimated length of stay for high risk boys is nine to 12 months. The actual length of stay is wholly determined by the needs of each youth and not by any estimate of the length of stay.

Academic services focus on maximizing individualized achievement toward the completion a high school diploma and post-secondary education, training, and employment.

The educational needs of the residents are served by the Walton Learning Center through a partnership with Walton County School District and the Rader Group.

The Walton Learning Center offers an educational program that includes all course requirements for students to complete middle school progression requirements and earn a standard high school diploma.  Academic and career education instruction are provided through the Walton County School District and partnerships with the Rader Group and Home Builders Institute.

Walton Learning Center is a Type 3 program and career education opportunities include the Home Builders Institute Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate Training (PACT) certification .

This program is an approved GED® test site and Post-secondary Education Readiness Test (PERT) site.
