The RAM-C (Residential Alternative for the Mentally Challenged) Program serves 42 males between the ages of 9 and 18, in a non-secure residential commitment program.  Males served are those with developmental disabilities. The eligibility criteria requires a diagnosis of mild-to-moderate mental retardation with a documented IQ of 40 to 71.

RAM-C maintains self-contained educational classrooms with teachers certified in Exceptional Student Education. A behavior management system specially designed for this population incorporates functional analysis and a high reinforcement schedule. The program emphasizes vocational training, particularly in the areas of culinary arts and automotive skills. It also provides training in social skill development, anger management, and life skills.

The RAM-C Program cottages are located on the Greenville Hills Academy campus but are across the street from the other cottages.  The anticipated average length of stay is between three months and one year, depending on the youth's pace of success in completing his individualized treatment plan and goals.

RAM-C Program is a Type 3 program offering English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and one elective course. The elective course is typically used to provide additional reading assistance to needy students or vocational training.

Education and vocational services are provided through the Madison County School District. Vocational opportunities include: Culinary Arts and Automotive Skills.

From Tallahassee, travel I-10 East to Greenville, exit #241 (Hwy 221). Turn North on Hwy 221, for approximately 1 mile. Turn right onto Greenville Hills Road—the first paved road (by the Aucilla Area Solid Waste sign). The program and parking lot will be located ½ mile further on the right-hand side of the street. After parking, proceed to the security gate entrance and building for instructions on individual cottages. Madison
