The Okeechobee Intensive Halfway House (OIHH) serves 30 males, 13 to 18 years of age, in a non-secure residential commitment program.   The program provides each youth with services designed to reach identified treatment goals and objectives.

These services are rendered through required program components including, but not limited to, behavioral health services, case management services, diagnostic evaluation services, appropriate treatment modalities including group, individual and family counseling, substance abuse prevention and counseling health services, mental health services, education services, prevocational and vocational services, physical fitness, recreational and leisure time activities.

Clothing and uniforms are provided by the program. The anticipated average length of stay depends on the youth's pace of success in completing the individualized treatment plan and goals.

Okeechobee Intensive Halfway House is a Type 3 program offering English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Reading.

Education services are provided through a contract between the program and the Okeechobee County School District.
