The Brevard Group Treatment Home serves 30 males, ages 12 to 15, in a non-secure residential commitment program that provides individualized mental health and behavioral health services.

The residents participate in an on-site school, general individual and group counseling, and recreational activities. The program is both therapeutic and structured, which are key elements while still providing a nurturing, homelike atmosphere.  The program's philosophy is that both family and community involvement is critical to the youth's successful transition from the residential commitment program to the home community.

There are volunteer opportunities and weekly therapy for the boys. Behavior management includes the use of achievement levels and a weekly point system as positive reinforcement for complying with the rules of the program and each boy's individualized treatment goals. The program consists of goal groups, anger management, life skills, and individual and group psychotherapy.

The anticipated average length of stay depends on the youth's pace of success in completing the individualized treatment plan and goals.

Brevard Group Treatment Home is a Type 2 program offering English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and one elective course. The elective course is typically used to provide additional reading assistance to needy students or vocational training.

Education and vocational services are provided through the Brevard County School District.
