Milton Girls Juvenile Residential Facility is a sixty (60)-bed residential commitment program for the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice. The program will serve female juvenile offenders ages 13-18. Youths selected for the program must have a DSM-IV-TR Axis I mental disorder(s) who have moderate to serious mental or emotional disturbance with a level of impairment and maladaptive behavior that makes them unsuitable for a general offender program. Each youth admitted will be evaluated and monitored by a licensed psychiatrist. The youths will be committed to a therapeutic living environment and will participate in daily group therapy.  The program will provide uniforms. Length of stay in this program is approximately 6 to 12 months.

Milton Girls Juvenile Residential Facility (school number 469817) is a Type 2 program offering English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and one elective course. The elective course is typically used to provide additional reading assistance to needy students or vocational training.

Education and vocational services are provided through the Okaloosa County School District. Vocational opportunities include: Masonry, Electronics Technician, Carpentry and Horticulture.

This program serves as a GED test site.

From Tallahassee, travel I- 10 West to Pensacola. Exit onto HWY 87 (exit 31) north to Milton. Approximately 1 mile you will cross HWY 90 at the Traffic light. Proceed across the railroad tracks.
