The Falkenburg Juvenile Correctional Facility—Mental Health treatment facility is a hardware secure high-risk treatment program designed to treat youth with intensive and severe mental health disorders and substance abuse issues. Youth receive individual therapy, group therapy and family therapy. The program incorporates evidence-based treatment such as Thinking for a Change (T4C) as well as the concepts of Corrective Thinking (Truthought), Impact of Crime (IOC), Restorative Justice, and Trauma Informed practice. Structure is provided through implementation of a daily activity schedule, which offers education in life, social and anger management skills, daily groups and physical education. All youth currently on medication should bring a 10-day supply when possible. The program provides all clothing and hygiene products and no personal items are permitted. The average length of stay is 12 to 18 months.

Falkenburg Juvenile Correctional Facility-Mental Health (school number 295056) is a Type 2 program offering English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and one elective course. The elective course is typically used to provide additional reading assistance to needy students or vocational training.

Education and vocational services are provided through the Hillsborough County School District.  

This program serves as a GED test site.
