These videos are intended to answer any questions a youth or a parent may have about how the Department complies with PREA. All youth admitted to any DJJ facility must view these videos. It is recommended that this occur during the intake process. However, the videos must be viewed by each youth within 10 days of admission to a DJJ facility.
Youth will learn the following:
There are five parts. Each part lasts between two and 10 minutes. At the end of each part, the video pauses so that the youth may ask questions or get further clarification from staff.
