Wansley Walters Wants Your Wisdom
In response to the Climate Survey that so many staff used to offer invaluable feedback, Secretary Walters has announced the reestablishment of the Secretary’s Forum.* The Secretary’s Forum gives all employees and contracted and private-provider staff a direct link to the Secretary's office to ensure that ALL voices are heard without the fear of punishment!
For those of you who have been a part of the DJJ family since its inception in 1994, you will recall how very successful the initiative was under then-Secretary Calvin Ross. The Forum was a proven “best practice” for promoting effective two-way communication and for working together to resolve problems and implement improvements that benefit us all.
Phase I of the Forum allows for the manual submission of your recommendations by way of the Secretary’s Forum Suggestion/Issue form. The form is available via the forms library or through the link below. Phase II will be released as the online version of the form which automates the submission process for convenience. Both options allow submitters to identify themselves or remain anonymous. Suggestions resulting in cost savings to the state may be nominated for the Prudential Davis Productivity Awards.
Wansley Walters Wants Your Wisdom is more than just a catch phrase; it is a call for staff and providers to lend their knowledge and experience to achieving the mission and goals of this Department.
Don’t delay; submit your suggestion today!
