Gov. Scott Appoints Two to Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention State Advisory Group

 

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Alyssa Beck and Kevin Higgins II to the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention State Advisory Group.

 

Beck, 23, of Jacksonville is an advocacy specialist with the Delores Barr Weaver Policy Center. She is appointed for a term beginning November 4, 2018, and ending at the pleasure of the Governor.

 

Higgins, 24, of Riveria Beach is a former security specialist with PSC Security Services. He is appointed for a term beginning November 4, 2018, and ending at the pleasure of the Governor.

 

The appointments are pursuant to federal statute 42. U.S.C. 5633, which requires at least one-fifth of members to be under the age of 24 at the time of appointment and/or have been under the juvenile justice system.
