TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Department of Juvenile Justice and the Interagency Workgroup on Human Trafficking announces the call for nominations for the Human Trafficking Prevention Awards. Now in its second year, the awards program recognizes an outstanding advocate, prosecutor and law enforcement official working to prevent human trafficking in Florida.
Recipients will be honored at the Opening Session of the second statewide Human Trafficking Summit. The summit will be hosted by the Interagency Workgroup on Human Trafficking, chaired by DJJ Secretary Wansley Walters, and is scheduled for October 3, 2013, at the Marshall Student Center, University of South Florida.
