Labor Trafficking Training in Florida starting January 2020

In Florida, much attention has been focused on commercially sexually exploited children since the passing of the Florida Safe Harbor Law in 2012, including continuous media coverage and law enforcement focused dollars. Unfortunately, children are exploited for labor every day but it remains unrecognized and under the radar, leaving them at high risk for further abuse and neglect. Learn how to recognize the signs of labor trafficking, learn how to respond to domestic and foreign-born minor victims and learn about the labor trafficking trends we have seen in Florida since 2009.

Presenters:

Sue Aboul-hosn, DCF Regional Human Trafficking Prevention Coordinator
