This wilderness-based program enhances rehabilitation efforts through environmental education, academic education, a variety of vocational and life-skills training, and Behavioral Health Overlay Services (BHOS). The YES program is performance based, stresses academic achievement, appropriate behavior, a positive attitude and excellence in performance. Every youth at YES has the opportunity to increase his school grade level and/or prepare for and take his GED. He can earn American Red Cross certifications in first aid, CPR, basic water safety and life guarding. A requirement for successful completion is a confirmed placement in either full time school or employment or a combination of both. Program provides on-site mental health and substance abuse services. Youth must provide own clothing. Average length of stay is 6-9 months.

Youth Environmental Services (school number 295052) is a Type 2 program offering English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and one elective course. The elective course is typically used to provide additional reading assistance to needy students or vocational training.
