The Okeechobee Youth Development Center is a high-risk residential program that serves committed males, ages 13 to 21 and includes a transitional component that is classified as low-risk residential commitment in order to assist the young men in making the transition home from the program.  The program offers education and vocational training, mental health overlay services and substance abuse prevention and counseling, case management, life and social skills training, behavior modification, release and transition planning, and recreation and leisure activities.  The average length of stay is 9 to 12 months.  Okeechobee Youth Development Center (school number 690011) is a Type 3 program offering English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and one elective course.
