Hastings Comprehensive Mental Health Treatment Program is a moderate-risk, non-secure 96-bed juvenile facility with an average length of stay of 7 to 10 months. The program serves youth with dual and the more intensive mental health diagnoses.  The treatment concept is cognitive-behavioral within a therapeutic community setting. Youth must have a DSM-IV TR mental health disorder and serious to severe symptoms of emotional disturbance with a GAF score between 30 and 50 or a DSM-IV Axis I or Axis II mental health disorder with severe symptoms of mental disorder and impairment in social, emotional or adaptive functioning. The program does not treat sex offenders. No personal items are allowed. Youth should arrive only with what they are wearing; uniforms are provided.

Hastings Comprehensive Mental Health Treatment Program (school number 550421) is a Type 2 program offering English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and one elective course. The elective course is typically used to provide additional reading assistance to needy students or vocational training.
