Britt Halfway House is non-secure residential treatment program that provides mental health services, residential substance abuse treatment and medical services for boys, ages 14 to 18. Youth receive individual, group and family counseling with oversight from an onsite licensed mental health professional. Evidence-based programming consists of Thinking for a Change (T4C) and Living in Balance groups. The program offers a three-month curriculum called Young Men’s Work, which is a series of groups that teach the youth to develop non-violent methods of working through problems. Local community volunteers serve as mentors to the boys while in the program. The program provides uniforms, though youth should bring their own shoes and undergarments. The minimum length of stay is 6 months.

Britt Halfway House (school number 528012) is a Type 2 program offering English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and one elective course. The elective course is typically used to provide additional reading assistance to needy students or vocational training.

Education and vocational services are provided through the Pinellas County School District.
