About Us
Ms. Daly has over 13 years of experience in the juvenile justice field. She began her professional career in the private sector as a direct-care worker, then went on to do fundraising and outreach for the same local youth crisis shelter. Christy then advanced to a statewide position with a private organization that oversees the network of crisis shelters in Florida where she was responsible for advocacy and governmental affairs.
Christy joined the DJJ leadership team in 2007. Prior to serving as Chief of Staff, she also has served as Director of Legislative Affairs and External Affairs Director, and as Executive Director of the Florida Juvenile Justice Foundation. Her broad knowledge of the juvenile justice system, compassion for the youth we serve, along with her bright spirit and ability to engage those around her, brings great strength to this position.
Her years of working for providers allowed her to build close collaborations with other providers and stakeholders, which she has continued to strengthen during her service to the DJJ. She is a native of Florida and has spent the last 30 years in Tallahassee where her family also resides. Christy received her B.S. in Social Work from Florida State University.
