PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Impact House Juvenile Residential Facility
is a Behavioral Health Overlay Services (BHOS), staff
secure, moderate risk, and substance abuse program for
males. The program is located in the 4th Judicial Circuit.
The program accepts males between the ages of 14 to 18 who
have a primary DSM IV diagnosis of substance abuse and who
may have a co-occurring mental health disorder. Upon
admission youth will receive a substance abuse screening and
a comprehensive substance abuse evaluation. The program
provides individual, group and family counseling, social and
life skills and on-site educational services. Youth who
achieve educational requirements may obtain employment and
participate in community recreational activities. The
average length of stay is 6 to 9 months. Uniforms are
provided but the youth may provide their own shoes and a
week's supply of socks and underwear.
