PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This is a moderate risk, physically secure
residential mental health treatment program for female
offenders between the ages of 12 and 18. The average length
of stay is nine to twelve months. The program provides
comprehensive mental health treatment that includes
evaluation, treatment, substance abuse, sexual
victimization, suicide prevention, and behavior management.
Youth interact with each other similar to that found in a
group treatment home. The youth are assigned to six stages
based on their progress in the program. The HOPE facility is
located in a remote section of Bay County. Youth are
provided individual clothing when they enter the program.
