PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This is a moderate risk, physically secure residential mental health treatment program for female offenders between the ages of 12 and 18. The average length of stay is nine to twelve months. The program provides comprehensive mental health treatment that includes evaluation, treatment, substance abuse, sexual victimization, suicide prevention, and behavior management. Youth interact with each other similar to that found in a group treatment home. The youth are assigned to six stages based on their progress in the program. The HOPE facility is located in a remote section of Bay County. Youth are provided individual clothing when they enter the program.

DIRECTIONS TO PROGRAM

From Tallahassee travel west on Interstate 10 until you reach Highway 231 (exit 130). Take Highway 231 south until you reach the community of Fountain. Turn right on Preacher Jones Road. Continue on Preacher Jones Road until you reach Woodland Avenue. Turn right. Continue on Woodland Avenue for approximately 1/10th of a mile until you reach Van Doren Lane. Turn left. Approximately 500 feet on the left will be the entrance to the facility.
