PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This sex offender program provides a full range of structured therapeutic based services designed to maximize each youth’s opportunity to return to the community as law-abiding citizens. Educational services provided by the Okaloosa County School Board. Therapeutic services foster peer interaction and personal growth, social development and responsibility through an array of program and behavioral health overlay services (BHOS). Group and individual interventions are utilized to motivate and reshape socially maladaptive deviant sex offenders thought processes and behaviors. Program provides uniforms. Average length of stay is 12 to 18 months.

DIRECTIONS TO PROGRAM

From Tallahassee, travel I- 10 West to Crestview. Exit onto HWY 85 (exit 12) south to FT Walton Beach. Approximately 3.5 miles turn left onto Little Silver Road. Follow Little Silver road past the Correctional facility (3.5 miles). Turn Left (North) onto Straightline Road. You will pass Okaloosa Regional Detention Center on your right and Okaloosa Youth Development Center on your left. The road will dead end at the facility.
