Doing Business with the State
In order to do business with the Department of
Juvenile Justice (DJJ) a prospective provider/vendor must do the
following:
1). Register in MyFloridaMarketplace (MFMP)
(The State’s e-procurement system).
MFMP is Florida's online procurement system
designed to streamline interactions between vendors and state
government entities that purchase goods and services. MFMP
provides a user-friendly Internet portal where prospective
providers/vendors can register, receive information on upcoming
bids, post information on products and services, and receive
purchase orders electronically. Prospective Provider shall be
aware that for each transaction (purchase of goods or services)
vendors are required to pay the state a 1% transaction fee,
unless exempt as indicated in Rule 60A-1.032, Florida
Administrative Code.
A) MFMP Vendor Registration is located on
MyFlorida.com (under "Business," "Doing Business with the
State," "Everything for Vendors and Customers," "Vendor
Registration System (VRS)") at the following address/link:
https://vendor.myfloridamarketplace.com
B) Scroll the New Vendor Registration form and
complete the following:
Note 1: Commodity Codes: You must
know the commodity codes for the commodities and/or services
that you can provide to the Department. The following are
the most commonly used commodity codes used for DJJ
solicitations:
-
913-180 DEPENDENT/DELINQUENT NON-RESIDENTIAL JUVENILE

Note 2: Certified Minority Business (CMB)

registering your business, please be aware that you can NOT
assign any of the official minority codes to your business.
You must contact the Office of Supplier Diversity at (850)
487-0915 or e-mail the Office of Supplier Diversity at:
http://osd.dms.state.fl.us and request that the
certified code be placed on your file.
2). Register to use the Vendor Bid System:
A) Prospective Providers/Vendors wishing to use
the Vendor Bid System must FIRST be registered with
MyFloridaMarketPlace. Instructions for completing the MyFlorida
Marketplace registration are provided in # 1 above.
B) Prospective Providers/Vendors interested in
bidding on formal solicitations, (greater than $25,000.00) will
need to ensure they are also registered in the Vendor Bid System
(VBS). Registering for VBS will actually take place while you
are registering in MFMP.
C) The VBS provides prospective
providers/vendors with an option to receive email notifications
for new solicitations for the class and group code (types of
services) for which the prospective provider/vendor has
registered. Please allow two days after completing the MyFlorida
Marketplace system registration (see # 1 above) before
registering to receive e-mail notification. BE SURE AND SELECT
THE BOX TO RECEIVE E-MAIL NOTIFICATION FROM THE VENDOR BID
SYSTEM WHILE YOU ARE REGISTERING IN THE MFMP SYSTEM (UNDER THE
SOLICITATION PAGE).
3). Monitor the Vendor Bid System:
The public, including prospective
providers/vendors are strongly encouraged to monitor the Vendor
Bid System on a daily/weekly basis for advertisements and
information related to new and ongoing solicitations:
There are five (5) types of advertisements that
